Swirls and Curls

These are part of a trade I am doing with
I adore her style and the fact that nearly every cat she paints has wings. How could I not love her work!

This set was a bit of a struggle to make because under all those lovely glittering swirls is a wire in the same shape! Making all those swirls seemed like an easy task... but woah is SOOO was not! I would curl the wire and then it would not lay flat. Hand coiled wire likes to bounce and torque and do all sorts of neat organic uncontrollable things. I had to accept that quality and work with it. It totally paid off and now I adore these wings!
